Yin and Yang

Like Morning and Night were they Different

Yet at dawn and Dusk they were one

The Black King and White Queen crossing Squares

Ever at Odds but Strangely attuned

A Black Heart with the ever-gentle touch of her Light

A White Soul with the soothing balm of his Dark

Both reaching out, Within Sight but grasp With-out

An Angel of Life, dealing Mercy and Kindness to those unsullied

A Knight of the Dark, jury to those who lay claim to the wrongs of the night

Serve the same Power, yet follow different Paths

Ice so hot, a burn and deathly Numbness followed touch

Fire so Cold, frozen in stone were those who dared try subdue

In opposites they convened, in same-ness they fought

One was of Morning, the Light

The other of Darkness, the Night

Two Sides of the same coin, never facing eyes

For though connected through dawn and dusk

To truly come together, they would have to painfully part
